Construction details
Panel Construction:
Operable wall consisting of individual movable elements with a frame construction of rigid non-deflecting torsionally stiff aluminium and steel tubular sections (profiles). The frame is cladded on both sides with 16mm thick 3-ply quality chipboard, hanging acoustically free to vibrate. Element thickness 100 mm. In closed position the whole installation looks like a rigid wall with no visible screws or metal parts.
The acoustic fascia boards is clipped on as freely oscillating panels to offer optimum sound insulation. The fascia boards is removable without taking down the Movable Wall Element.
Frame Construction:
To be torsionally stiff aluminium and steel tubular profiles.
Fascia Boards:
The Surface Panels/Fascia Boards are clipped on as freely oscillating panels to offer optimum sound insulation. The Fascia is removable without taking down the Movable Wall Element.
Element Interconnection:
The panels are inter connected by means of positive locking and unlocking covered aluminium sections engaged with each other by integrated magnetic strips, which have a linear attraction of 40 N/m. The individual panels are centered via the magnetic strips to guarantee sound positive locking and sealing. No visible metal parts when wall is opened or closed. Additional vertical lip
seals needed at the element connection. Panels have protective edge profiles inserted into grooves on the edges of the elements so that the profiles are not visible when the wall is closed.
Extensible Strip Seals (Sound Seals):
Retractable seals are provided on all panels. Seals is quick set and spring loaded to overcome any deflection upon the limits of bottom seal clearance.
Floor clearance is based on floor variances and allowed live load deflection of overhead structure and floor system.
The minimum bottom seal clearance is 50mm. Submit bottom clearances for the system depending on the span and height on the relevant shop drawings for approval by the Engineer.
In order to ensure optimum vertical sealing between the extended sealing strips, the sealing strip end elements are in the form of polyurethane mouldings.
Telescopic Element:
The final closing element of the partition in each case are designed as a Telescopic compensating element. Its function is ensured over its full height by means of a Triple action electrically activated spindle/lever drive mechanism. Construction elements such as folding flaps are not permissible. The compensating component are constructed from identical material with that of the Main Partition. To ensure flush closing of the partition, the contact pressure is adjustable between 0 to 1000N. Bulb seal closures are not used.
Wall panel thickness:
Panels are not less than 100mm. No Multiple splices except for shipping constraints.
Element Adjustment:
It is possible to marginally adjust the height of each element in order to compensate for any unevenness without opening the ceiling or the element. In case of surface damages or redecoration the face panels is removable without taking down the whole element.
Pass door elements:
Pass door elements where required are 100 mm with a portal frame consisting of rigid steel profiles and two side posts with pressure tubes. Additional interlocking and centering of door stiles via automatically operated floor pins. Door leaf is flush with face of wall. Door leaf consists of steel frame and automatically operated retractable floor seal. Sealing mechanism (top seal and floor plugs) is operated at the edge of the element with integrated door leaf mechanism with no additional manual operation.
SUSPENSION SYSTEM - FOR PARTITIONS MORE THAN 6000MM HIGH
The ceiling track is fixed to an adjustable steel suspension of threaded rods. The adjustability of the steel suspension ensures that eventual deflection of the ceiling can be absorbed. The materials are protected against corrosion.
All Steel heavy duty track system along with Steel Rolling Carrier Trolley arrangement is equipped with direction tongue mechanism at switches/curves to facilitate self sorting/directing
program for tall Elements.
Minimum 4.5mm roll formed steel. Static loading of track with brackets show no failure of track or brackets at 2000KG.
Track is supported by adjustable steel hanger brackets connected to the Structural Supports.
The panel with the track and trolley system confirming no deflection, flaking or failure of the trolley after a period of 50,000 completed cycles is provided on request.
Two all steel trolleys with steel tired ball bearings. Non steel tires not provided. Suspension system provide automatic indexing of panels into stack area using pre-programmed switches and trolleys without electrical, pneumatic or mechanical activation.
Right angled aluminium tracks with polymer trolleys are not provided.
A performance Warranty of 10 years are provided for the performance of Tracks, Brackets, Switches and Curves.
TRACK RAIL SYSTEM - FOR PARTITIONS UPTO 6000MM HIGH
The track is absolutely maintenance-free. Intersections, T-junctions and corner elements are closed-die forgings and equipped with support roller assemblies. In order to ensure the easy
operability of the elements, including at track junctions and in the stacking/parking area, rolling friction are ensured at all points along the track.
The dampening track roller assemblies are used to prevent the transmission impact forces and operating noise, which protect the Element, Rail and Carrier.
Shop Drawings:
Show location and extent of operable partitions. Include plans, elevations, sections, details, attachments to other construction, and accessories. Indicate dimensions, weights, conditions
at openings, and at storage areas, and required installation, storage, and operating clearances. Indicate location and installation requirements for hardware and track, including floor tolerances
required and direction of travel.
ACOUSTIC: Comply with Acoustic Report.
FIRE RESISTANCE: All requirements for resistance of fire are in accordance with the Fire Strategy Report.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Load & Stress testing of the Track System confirming that the load capacity of their tracks is not less than 1200 Kg/LM.
Trolley/Roller Assemblies
confirming that the load capacity of the trolleys is not less than 600 Kg/trolley
The panel with the track & trolley system confirming no deflection, flaking or grooving of the track and no signs of fatigue or failure of the trolley after a period of 50,000 completed cycles.
